Immerse yourself in the natural sound of the piano

Yamaha CFX Binaural Sampling provides such natural sound that you forget you are wearing headphones. Coupled with VRM (Virtual Resonance Modeling) that faithfully reproduces the distinct resonance of an acoustic piano, this technology allows you to immerse yourself in the natural sound of the piano without being disturbed by others.

THE TECHNOLOGY AND QUALITY
BEHIND SILENT Piano™

Unique Key sensors that allow continuous detection offer faithful reproduction of the player’s inspirations

Key sensors equipped with continuous-detection greyscale shutter sensing systems accurately capture the nimble movements and detailed nuances of the pianist’s fingers. The makes it possible to execute repeated notes and trills at the edges of keys smoothly and naturally. The sensors are non-contact, so they do not affect the touch of the keys.

Binaural sampling produces natural sound that envelops the player

Yamaha CFX Binaural Sampling provides such natural, all-encompassing sound that you forget you are wearing headphones. Binaural sampling is an painstaking method of recording – special microphones are set up in the same positions as the performer’s ears – done specifically to enhance the headphone listening experience.

Yamaha’s insistence on quality

The fact that we install SILENT Piano™ components on pianos as part of our in-house manufacturing process is one of the most important aspects to achieving the accuracy and quality that satisfy our exacting standards. Silent Pianos receive the same level of expertise and craftsmanship that we devote to each piano we manufacture.
